Onlangs schreef ik een artikel<\/a> over Wrangler en hoe dat merk teruggreep naar die \u201cgoeie ouwe\u201d hippietijd. Nu is er natuurlijk veel haat in de wereld, maar je merkt dat daardoor juist ook de roep om \u2018liefde\u2019 sterk toeneemt op social media.<\/p>\n

Anno 2017 zijn wij, millenials, ook een soort hippies geworden. We zijn bewuster van onszelf en de wereld om ons heen, veel meer dan elke generatie voor ons ooit heeft kunnen zijn. Daarom zijn we waarschijnlijk ook zo bezig met \u2018groene\u2019 kleding, energie, gezond eten, raw denim enzo\u2026<\/p>\n

Dat dacht het merk Pretty Green ook. Dit merk lanceerde zichzelf in 2009 samen met Liam Gallagher van Oasis en gaf daarmee meteen aan dat deze denkwijze onlosmakelijk gekoppeld is aan streetculture en mode.<\/p>\n

Op de\u00a0 offici\u00eble Facebook pagina van The Beatles<\/a> (met een ruime 41 miljoen likes!) stond deze week een opvallend bericht<\/a>. Het merk Pretty Green zal in de herfst van 2017 een collectie lanceren, ge\u00efnspireerd op het legendarische album The Sgt. Pepper\u2019s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Dat album is een weerspiegeling van het gedachtegoed van de 60\u2019s. Een gemeenschappelijk gevoel van vrede, liefde en vooral veel experimenteren. Een gevoel dat door miljoenen mensen wereldwijd werd omarmd en dat is zeker iets wat we anno nu ook zien. Er is veel \u2018haat\u2019 in de wereld, maar het antwoord, \u2018liefde\u2019, klinkt daardoor ook steeds sterker op sociale media. Plus anno nu staat dit album van The Beatles nog steeds symbool voor die zelfde, hedendaagse, gevoelens.<\/p>\n

$\"\"$ The Beatles en Pretty Green brengen 50jaar na de album release een speciale collectie<\/a> uit van kledingstukken die The Beatles droegen. Elk item is ge\u00efnspireerd op hun outfits, hun muziek en het beroemde artwork van de plaat. De collectie zal uit verschillende stoffen bestaan zoals overhemden, Kaftans, vintage T-shirts en de op Facebook geplaatste foto verraadt ook de aanwezigheid van denim. Laten we hopen dat de collectie v\u00e9\u00e9l denim bevat, \u00e9n dat deze in Nederland verkrijgbaar is, want tot nu toe zijn alleen Groot Brittani\u00eb en Japan bevestigd.
